Enterprise Identifier Management Workshop (1 of 2) |
All
customer-centric information management begins with - and critically
depends on - managing identifiers. However, increasingly, our
burden also includes that of supporting the cooperation of multiple
business entities yet without compromising the operational autonomy
of the participants. And even amidst this challenge, we must
responsibly and robustly handle privacy issues.
Mr. Jon Farmer of LuoSys is among the world's foremost pioneers
in modern theory and techniques for managing identifiers in
a distributed or federated enterprise. He personally wrote one
of the world's first federated-capable real-time identifier
correlation engines, led the development of the world's first
object-oriented standard which encompassed all aspects of person
identifier management, and precipitated the harmonization of
the PIDS and HL7 standards in identifier management.
Jon's continued research in identifier management focuses on
the relationship of identifier management to the technologies
and standards for authentication and privacy policy. |
| Our
workshops focus on strategies and standards - not products. |
